LV Circuit Breaker Test Report

A NETA-compliant field test record for low-voltage power, air, insulated-case, and molded-case circuit breakers — covering contact wipe, insulation resistance, LSIG primary injection trip tests, coil minimum pickup voltage, functional checks, and control wiring IR, with JSON export and print-to-PDF output.

Overview

Low-voltage circuit breaker testing is one of the most common and liability-sensitive deliverables in NETA acceptance and maintenance work. This record captures the complete test sequence in a single scrolling document: job header and standards basis (NETA ATS-2025, NETA MTS-2023, NFPA 70B-2026, or OEM procedure), breaker nameplate data including category (LVPCB, ACB, ICCB, or MCCB), mounting type, frame size, sensor rating, rating plug, trip functions present, and operation counter as-found and as-left. Primary contact wipe (primary and secondary) and charging mechanism notes document mechanical condition before electrical testing begins. Insulation resistance is recorded with test voltage, duration, temperature (with optional correction to 20°C using the temperature coefficient), humidity, instrument make/model and calibration due date, the measured MΩ reading, and pass/fail result — separately for phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground paths. Control wiring insulation resistance is documented with its own test voltage and reading. Dynamic LSIG trip test groups allow entry of Long-Time Pickup and Delay, Short-Time Pickup and Delay, Instantaneous, and Ground-Fault Pickup and Delay settings alongside as-found and as-left injection test results. Trip and close coil minimum pickup voltage is recorded per coil. Functional and auxiliary checks capture breaker behavior under electrical operation. The record closes with comments, observations, and recommendations. Data persists to browser localStorage, exports and imports as JSON, and prints to PDF. Supports NETA ATS-2025 and MTS-2023 testing workflows.

What you'll do

  • 01Document complete LV circuit breaker nameplate data — including category, frame size, sensor and rating plug values, trip functions present, and as-found/as-left operation counter readings
  • 02Record primary contact wipe dimensions and charging mechanism condition as pre-electrical mechanical inspection items
  • 03Perform and document insulation resistance measurements with test voltage, temperature, and optional correction to 20°C, applying Pass/Fail against manufacturer or NETA minimums
  • 04Record primary injection test results for each LSIG element — long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault — with as-found and as-left settings and measured trip times
  • 05Document trip coil and close coil minimum pickup voltage measurements and functional/auxiliary checks
  • 06Export the completed record to JSON for archiving, import a prior record for comparison, and print a formatted PDF for client delivery
