Accessibility
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site and every lab. We are not claiming a completed third-party audit; the statements below describe what we have implemented and verified ourselves, and the gaps we are still working through.
What is implemented
- Semantic landmarks and a single H1 on every page and lab.
- Keyboard operation for all interactive controls, with visible focus styles.
- Labels on form controls, and accessible names on icon-only buttons.
- Touch targets of at least 44 px on primary controls.
- Layouts that hold together down to a 320 px viewport and at 200 percent zoom.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body copy, including inside dark headers and data tables.
- Data tables with header cells, captions, and scope attributes.
Known gaps
- Some interactive diagrams and waveform canvases convey information visually first. A numeric readout accompanies them, but a full non-visual equivalent is still in progress.
- Older labs that predate the shared shell have inconsistent focus order in a few dialogs.
- No independent accessibility audit has been completed yet.
Report a barrier
Accessibility reports are treated as defects, not suggestions. Use the accessibility category in the feedback form or email contact@phaseacademy.io. Tell us the page, the assistive technology and browser you use, and what you expected to happen. We aim to acknowledge within five working days.
