Standards and editions
Requirements change between editions, so every reference on this platform names the edition it follows. Where your jurisdiction enforces a different edition, treat our result as a teaching aid and verify against the document you are held to.
References in the register
Derived from the governance register generated 2026-08-15. A tool may reference more than one standard.
| Standard and edition | Tools referencing it |
|---|---|
| NEC 2023 methodology (confirm AHJ-adopted edition) | 20 |
| IEEE guides (see methodology) | 16 |
| NETA ATS-2025 | 13 |
| NETA MTS-2023 | 11 |
| No code standard referenced | 5 |
| IEC 60909-0 | 2 |
| NFPA 70E-2024 (concepts) | 1 |
| IEEE 1584-2018 (concepts only — not a study tool) | 1 |
Why we never reproduce code tables
Code tables are copyrighted works owned by the publishing bodies. Phase Academy does not reproduce them. Instead our tools compute a result from your inputs and cite the article, section, or table the method comes from, so you can confirm the value in your own copy of the standard. If you ever see what looks like a verbatim table on this platform, report it and we will remove it.
Wording we use
- “NETA-aligned”
- The workflow follows the structure and acceptance approach of the named NETA document. It is not a NETA-certified or NETA-endorsed product.
- “References NEC 2023”
- The calculation method follows that edition. Adopted editions vary by jurisdiction.
- “Educational model”
- A simplified representation built to teach behaviour, not to size, specify, or certify equipment.
